Another reason I love this season

Season premieres are finally here! I like TV. I also like people who aren't afraid to admit that they too like watching the boob tube. Tonight is the season premiere of The Office. One of my favorites and one of the few that I schedule my time around so that I don't miss it. I'm protective of that Thursday night 7:30/8:00 time slot. People at my house have to be quiet and let me listen. I'm not a very good parent during this time. I get protective of the remote so that someone is not flipping the station during commercials to see what is happening on CSI...never works. It started back when NBC came up with their brain child, 'Must See TV' during the glory days of Friends. Since then NBC has tried several different pilots and series but few have stuck. We now have a DVR and that has helped lesson the anxiety of whether or not I am going to miss a line, but there is nothing like gathering Thursday night to watch it fresh and new to the world. I don't even mind the commercials. It's a part of the experience. So gather your loved ones around (just make sure they are quiet loved ones), break out the family-sized bag of Red Vines and enjoy the premiere.
