I have been thinking about Sunday nights today. We have a tradition of gathering at my mom and dad's house Sunday evening to visit, laugh and eat dessert. You-know-who typically provides the latter. Last night I hung out with my mom and one of my brothers and we just talked and teased each other. Today I am thankful for family traditions. I learned in a professional conference several years ago that family traditions (whether elaborate or uncomplicated) are one of the key elements in families to instill resiliency in children. I love holiday traditions, but some of those seemingly simple, informal traditions are treasured most.
