Raspberries, Swimming and Exciting News

We spent another day at Bear Lake during Raspberry Days.  I love it there.  The turquoise blue waters, the fun booths, and of course raspberry shakes.  It was not as hot as years past but the water was the warmest I've ever felt it. Just the right balance of refreshing without the cold-numbing.

We drove and drove to Garden City, Utah.  And I pieced one of my son's vomit issues together [not literally].  He gets carsick.  Carter seems to be just like his mom in this way.  He's done it twice now on our last 2 road trips.  Luckily for us, this time he gave us a warning..."Fro up Mama."  Then he got that look.  You know that look I'm talking about?  And the best part was we were out of the car at this point.

The boys swam and swam in all the shallow water.  The lake was much higher this year and it made for the best "kiddie pool".  Nate and I relaxed on floaties too. Thanks to the Smith Family -  my sister and her husband's family for letting us hang out at their cabin and beach!

And now for the exciting news. . .

Nate is officially Highway Patrol. His dream job.  I've honestly never seen him more excited in my life.
