I want to wish my Cankle a very happy 4th anniversary. What is a "cankle" you say? Urban Dictionary defines it as: the absence of a defined ankle on a person - whereby the calf of the leg merges directly into the foot. The calf appears to replace the ankle - hence the term "cankle".As many of you know (and probably wished you didn't) I broke my ankle in 2 places attempting to step off a porch. After 12 screws, a metal plate, a second surgery and countless physical therapy...the beauty mark still remains. The orthopedic surgeon told me it would take several months for the swelling to subside...like I said, that was 4 years ago.
I really don't believe I am vain, but I did take some degree of pride in my ankles at one time. That is, I felt comfortable wearing cropped pants or skirts. So as I hobble around today, know that I am feeling a kindred spirit in a fellow Cankle Sister...Hillary Clinton!
