Jameson, the lover of all things Halloween, has been patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for Mom and Dad to set up the Halloween village. We've been collecting the Department 56 village pieces for several years now. The thing is, I wanted to have our living room in order before starting this undertaking. Yes, we've been in our new house since the first of August, but we've done things slowly. I think both of us have just been happy to have our belongings here. We worked our hineys off from April to August when we moved in and were feeling a little exhausted. So we've done one room at a time. I love my living room now! It's nice to allow people in and have them sit on a sofa instead of a box of miscellaneous packed belongings. I even hung pictures on my walls! I have been hesitant to do this. I guess because they were blood, sweat and tears to get them to where they are at now. (They were wallpapered with a minimum of 3 layers of wallpaper and are also plaster). I could actually feel those nails going into the wall as I hammered away. Alas, I am feeling very content. Here's a pic...
