12 Days of Literacy

What does every kid want? A present everyday, right? Yep. My friend Kayla gave me this idea: wrap up 12 Christmas books and put under the tree. Let your kids choose one each night to read before bedtime. Perfect for our little family. We read most nights (as required by his Kindergarten teacher...30 min per night...30 minutes!! I thought I was doing well with 20 but this was before the school district mandated a thesis during the Kindergarten year...not really...I'm being a smartypants here...Kindergarten is nothing like what it used to be). 12 Days of Literacy didn't cost as much as one would think. Between school book orders and great bargain hunting at local bookstores I scored 12 great books. He is loving it!


Jameson has a little tree in his bedroom which he has creative control over. I put the 'book presents' under here. He gets his jammies on quick these days!
