Today The Boy, a.k.a. Mr. Jones, J Boy, my Jameson, turns 6! I know every parent says that they can't believe their kid is such and such an age, but really, that's how I feel.
Much to the chagrin of many of my family members, this kid gets a demi birthday celebration (a small cake and one present) in June so he doesn't feel slighted with having a December birthday. No, if I had 6 kids I probably wouldn't keep the tradition. . . ok, I probably would. I like parties. Point is, I have a one-and-only and it's so stinking fun to wrap up gifts, bake him fun themed cakes, invite family and friends over and give him lots of attention. And really, who doesn't like to be made to feel a little special on their birthday?
