Shout Out...Big Time!

As most of you know my husband was laid off from his lucrative position as a construction superintendent nearly 2 years ago. He's done some work here and there (and I sincerely appreciate those that have employed him for home improvement jobs because they saved our little family along with financial help from my parents and some others) but this economy has been relentless. He's searched, applied, interviewed and gone out of his comfort zone to find permanent employment. He's one of the most incredibly talented people I know when it comes to building things, fixing things, designing and just in general making things happen! This has been not only a challenge for him but a huge trial for our family that I never imagined we would experience to this degree. Discouragement has been a constant in our home but with prayers, fasting, priesthood blessings and some serious help from above his day has finally come...

Welcome the newest member of the police academy!

The Huz has done some serious hard-core physical training to get to this point. This morning he called after his physical fitness test for entrance to let me know he passed his running test with a minute to spare! He was so excited I could barely understand him.

Love you Nate! Now let's celebrate...and don't grow one of those cop mustaches please.

Maybe he'd like to come to So.Ut to do some fugitive hunting. Crazy stuff going on down here. Both of my brothers are police officers. It's been a little nerve racking with a crazy man on the loose.

Congrats to Nate and all of you. It is a huge weight off the shoulders I'm sure.

YEAH for Nate, feel for you on that shift work that is headed your way though! Been there, lived through it! But great benefits.

Congratulations! My brother graduated from the police academy a few years ago. He LOVES his job. I can totally see Nate as a cop--just hopefully not outside of my driver's side window!
