J's Big Day

It only took 8 years and 2 months, but meet the newest member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (new suit and all)...

Jameson was baptized on February 19th after 2 reschedules (Dad having to be at a last-minute mandatory gun testing and a bad case of strep throat). We were able to have friends and family there for Jameson's big day. We are so proud of our son and his decision. He sat there so grown up and pleased to have people that love him there JUST FOR HIM. Nate did a great job and Jameson's confirmation was extra special.

Carter was front and center for the baptism and even pulled himself up to the plexi-glass above the font. I thought...here is Big Brother setting an example for the sweet baby he prayed so faithfully for not long ago.

I am so happy my Dad is still here with us so he could there on Jameson's special day. And Grandma JoAnn is always such a good example for her grandchildren.

Nate's parents were able to sneak away from their mission in Washington state to support Jameson. Thanks for making the 11-hour drive!

All of us gathered for soup and salad afterwards at the Long home. I am so grateful to have a warm home that is just big enough to have loved ones visit. Thanks everyone for giving talks, singing, playing the piano, bringing soup, treats, cleaning up and just being there!

Glad it was a wonderful day! I'm so sad we missed it.
