A Thankful Weekend Indeed

As I sit here and type this post, the P90X twins are working out (that would be Officer Long and Jameson). Carter is fast asleep and it is so comforting to have all of us together and off from work and school for a minute.

I like Thanksgiving. I like to indulge in mashed potatoes and gravy. I embrace the gluttony once a year. And I don't even mind if you play Christmas songs; I don't feel like it detracts from the spirit of the holiday. Here's what I don't like: I don't believe we do the holiday justice. It's the perfect time to ponder all that we have. Like really, truly think about it.

So here's my list of pondering I've been doing (in no particular order) and this is by no means an inclusive list...

Officer Long

Officer Long's Employment

Jameson

Carter

Mocha

Maizy (yes, even Maizy)

My Family

Nate's Family

My Health

Humor

My Kid's Health

Prayer

My Home

My Warm Clothes

A Car That Gets Me From Here To There

My Job

My Health Insurance

That My Dad Is Still Here With Us

To Live Where I Live

Our Bishop

Those Pilgrims!

The Changing Of The Seasons

Refrigeration - Power - Warm Water - Clean Water

Food

And here's something I realized this weekend...one of the nice things about having your husband work graves is that he's used to being up all night, thus he makes the obvious choice for Black Friday specials. Thank you Nate!
