Halloween, Thanksgiving, etc.

Jameson and Carter had quite a successful candy holiday this year.  Neighborhood trunk or treat followed by traditional trick or treating (you know where you actually have to work for that fun size Milky Way?).  Carter was even awarded "Cutest Costume" at the costume contest and Nate enjoyed plenty of chili.  Carter mastered the phrase, "trick or treat please" and Jameson may have been mildly irritated by the fact that treat-givers gave his little brother extra loot  for being cute.  I reminded him that people said the same thing about him when he was that age..and wore the exact same costume.

Little Brother was a chicken and Big Bro a BYU football player.  On Oct 30th I had an epiphany.  Dress the whole fam up as Lord of the rings crew (since Carter is the epitome of a hobbit and all).

or this one (Strider)

Maybe next year. Alright, who can sew??

Carter has been mourning the end of Halloween (he totally was into it) but I think I have him somewhat appeased by these little guys:

Enter: Turkey Surprise Cupcakes.  The surprise is not that they contain turkey but have a surprise coconut pecan/German chocolate icing filling inside!  Of course Carter didn't get that far...he was completely enamored with the chocolate frosting, Nutter Butter, and candy corns.

I also took a caramel apple class and made these:

The class was three hours long one night.  When I got home, I found Nate had crashed and so did this little guy:

(at least he had pajamas on)
Then went to the kitchen and found that my feet stuck to the floor...and my hands to the cupboards because apparently there was a great deal of this going on while I was away:

Oy.
