My Mom always says to write it down

So here are a couple of things Carter has said in the past couple of weeks that should go down in blog history:

We are at the movie theater and they are promoting the latest Twilight flick...tables of shwag available to buy.  One table in particular is "manned" by a cute woman selling Twilight must haves and a big bowl of Hershey Kisses.  Carter immediately walks up to her and says, "I want two."  She grins and tells him to take two.  I remind him to say thank you and we head off.  He looks up at me and declares, "I not shy Mom."

Nope, I guess you're not kid.

Carter is most assuredly experiencing some independence.  He wants to do EVERYTHING on his own.  Whether this is buckling himself into his car seat (or refusing assistance for 5 minutes) or operating the snowblower or employing scissors to "cut cut cut" open his Halloween treats, it's all about doing it on his own.  I asked him one day, "Carter, are you Mr. Independent?"

His reply, "Nooo, I'm Carter (with emphasis on the "T" part).
