Squeezing the Last of Summer

I know it's cliche but this summer really did fly by. Last summer we were all about getting our house remodel project complete and this summer we took time to have some fun. Right before school started we took Jameson to Wheeler Farm...he told us next time he would milk a cow if we brought along gloves...so my son!

This past Saturday we headed to Discovery Gateway. It was our first visit there. Worth the admission price in my opinion. We were there nearly 5 hours but I think kids could easily stay all day without any sign of boredom. Here's The Boy on a horse (an aluminum one in their kid's eye view farm).

We also pulled out the new caterpillar sprinkler attachment Grandma bought for the kids to run through and the neighbors brought over their slip 'n slide. Perfect for these above average days we've been having.

Taking a rest in the hammock after hitting it hard in the sprinklers.

And I'm so proud of this...Jameson put together his first Lego creation ALL BY HIMSELF! We're talking following the directions (or destructions as Nate calls them) and not even getting frustrated once - which is really saying something for Jameson who was born with zero patience.

All in all, a pretty good summer.

Cute boy! The ladybug on the side bar is awesome. Never seen one like it. Too bad summers have to end.
