Found

My niece Becca told me about Coconut M&Ms about 5 months ago. After an exhaustive search with local retailers I thought she was just playing me. As a lover of all things coconut I just could not be toyed with that way.

Then last week I was at the inner city Walmart (13 So & 3rd West, yeah, it's inner city) and found these. I must have made quite the impression on the shopper behind me standing in line because she too picked up several packages.

Comfortably back in my office at work, I eagerly ripped open a package and took my first bite. I then ate another, then another and kept wondering when I would hit that luscious nutty flavor. Carefully I bit into the center of one so I could examine its coconut contents. None! Excuse me M&M/Mars people...what the? You think if you just throw a drop or two of coconut flavoring that makes a limited edition coconut M&M? I'm not saying you have to fill it with Almond Joy sweet island bliss but couldn't you throw a couple of coconut flakes my way?

I had such high hopes when I saw the package. You just can't do coconut flavoring - yuck. I'll stick to almond joy for my coconut.

I enjoy your blog so much. I have loved getting to know you better. I wish you lived closer. You are welcome to come visit anytime. (and bring the fam!)

If you email me I'll give you the S&S recipe. It is so divine.

NINE! I totally had those. I don't like M&M's and someone else had bought them. I didn't like them but I ended up eating the entire package! I examined each one wondering where they were getting their stupid ideas from...yet, I kept eating!
