Do you like scary movies? I do. But I've become more chicken as I get older. Only because I have to spend more time alone (or as the grown up) in my house at night than I did when I was a kid. I don't really like to go and see a new scary flick as much as I used to but I certainly enjoy watching scary favorites on TV. Today is my day off and I'm still in my jammies. I'm tucked in my warm bed watching AMC's line up of Halloween movies. And by Halloween movies, I don't mean Michael Myers. I mean the classics like Psycho, The Shining, The Changeling - you know the suspense without the gore.Nate was watching with me earlier but I told him he had to be quiet. He kept asking
questions like, "Why wouldn't you turn on the light if there was a mysterious noise downstairs you had to check out?" True. But no questioning character motives during the screening. You have to be able to accept that Marion the woman who stole the money and is staying in Bate's Motel cabin #1 is going to make dumb moves like leaving her window open and accepting a dinner invitation from a shady fellow. Ours is not to question why. Ours is to jump and cover our head with the covers. And yes, I may need to mess up my hair during a particularly intense part or even grab you if needed. I watched "What Lies Beneath" through a thin napkin in the theatre with my mom and she understood.

I think I would develop an imaginary friend to provide security if my mom looked like this...

And do you prefer classic Norman or Vince Vaughn as Norman? I think you can guess my preference. Only because he's so nice to look at but Anthony Perkins is definitely creepier.

And here's one of my favorite suspense classics...

So now I need to get up and clean my house...

I hate!!! scary movies. My Dad got me to watch Psycho once when I was 16, the result...yes, Ellen had to put up with a clear shower curtain for many years. My reasoning, if she had seen it coming she might have made it out!
Audrey Hepburn = Hottest chick ever (except for my hot wife)
