Speaking of thanks

A couple of weeks ago our Primary was talking about showing thanks and encouraged the children to write a thank you note to someone that had helped you or had done something nice. Since my son inherited my smarty pants gene, he told me that he was going to choose ME to write his thank you note to, but it ended up being too hard and he did not.

A few days later as I was cleaning out my Primary bag, I found an envelope with my name on it, unmistakeably from The Boy. He was standing near by so I asked him about it being too hard and choosing not to give it to me. He shrugged his shoulders and simply replied, "I was teasing you Mom."

I opened it up and read the following (most of it in his handwriting):

Dear Mom,
Thank you for the pancakes. They were really cool.
Love,
Jameson

Now if any of you out there know Jameson at all, then you know how much The Boy adores pancakes. He asks for them daily, often twice daily and recently woke up at 3 AM requesting them.

I love November.

A child after my own heart. Now, pumpkin pancakes with caramel syrup ... THAT I am truly grateful for.

He was SO excited to hide it in your bag! You should have seen the grin on his face when he came back and sat down. What a cutie!!
