Christmas 2009

Although I had just a couple of meltdowns right before the big day - the combination of pregnancy hormones and the stress of Christmas can be a little much for this girl - the holiday ended up being peaceful and complete with a most content little boy.

Our traditional Christmas Eve party at the Betensons was great. Who knew the zebra-print Snuggie would be such a coveted gift?

Nate drew #1 on the $5 creative gift exchange and thought he had it made until we learned that we would be trading gifts with several before being able to open one. My niece Chelsea had a fun poem that went along with the exchange but Nate was still somehow able to finagle his way back to his first choice - the movie tub of popcorn and Red Vines.

Both sets of grandparents came early Christmas morning to see The Boy's face as he first laid eyes on his stash. Santa wrapped his presents this year and Jameson had fun ripping into each one, then consequently posing with each, even the clothes!

I was so surprised to find a stocking stuffed just for me! That Santa knew exactly what to bring me - a combination of licorice, sour candies and chocolate. Just what the this prego has been craving. Thanks Santa.

Here's a picture of my two boys having fun with toys on the big morning. Love it.

The Clone Trooper that sat on our couch...or Grandpa Arlain.
